WHAT WILL YOU SEE?

Kelp forests

Cape Town’s Kelp forests are magical! Light streams playfully through the kelp leaves onto the sandy bottom, as we explore this wonderland where the fish love to come and hide.

Soft Coral Reef

The colours of Cape Town under water are that of autumn - purples, oranges, browns, and many shades of pastel! These soft coral reefs are an explosion of colours, full of sea stars, sea fans, sponges, Nudibranchs, and so much more!

Animals

We often see smaller species of sharks – shy sharks, pyjama sharks. We also often see local fish species, sea stars, octopus.

A seal or two also sometimes comes to visit us on our dives!

how does it work?

  • We meet at our dive center in Sea Point to complete check-in and paperwork.
  • Wetsuit sizes and gear are double-checked, and we pack everything you’ll need for your dive.
  • All equipment will be brought to the dive site for you.
  • Free transportation is provided between the dive center and the dive site.
  • After preparations, we depart for the harbour.
  • If you prefer to use your own transport, you can meet us at the harbour. Please confirm the dive location with us on the day.
  • At the harbour, your guide will provide a briefing about the dive plan and what to look out for.
  • After the briefing, we gear up in warm 7mm wetsuits and launch the boat
  • If you have no snorkelling experience, your guide will also teach you how the equipment works.

WHERE DO WE SNORKEL?

We have a variety of beautiful sites we can dive at. Some are at the Clifton-Oudekraal area (very close to Cape Town), and some are close to Simonstown.

Conditions are always changing, which means we sometimes dive Simonstown, and on other days we dive the Cape Town side. As a general of thumb, the summer wind is best for Cape Town dives, and the winter wind for Simonstown – but there are always exceptions.

What have others said about Into the Blue Scuba Dive Center?

Great Experience - I did two fun dives with Into The Blue (plus I also booked the shark cage…

through them) and I had an excellent experience. The communication via email was great and the brunette at reception (I'm really sorry but I didn't catch your name) was very friendly and helpful. My dive guide for the day was Jacque, who was also very welcoming and made the day a lot of fun. We did a wreck dive which was okay and then a dive with seals, and from my 800+ dives it was definitely one of my most favourite so far. JP was driving the boat for us and he was very attentive, the whole dive centre seemed very organised and I would definitely recommend them. The only disappointment from the day was that Llewellyn didn't ask me to marry him :)
Thanks a lot guys!

Had the best diving experience with Into the Blue, first...

dive was a ship wreck followed by doing yoga moves with the seals. Would highly recommend diving with these guys, very professional and fun! I sadly lost my go pro whilst diving with the seals but I'll always have the memories!
