WHAT WILL YOU SEE?
Site1: Kelp forest
At this dive site, we dive in Cape Town’s beautiful kelp forest. Be prepared to be amazed by the magical tranquillity in these forests. We see local fish species that come and hide here, as well as beautiful soft corals. The colours are that of autumn purples, oranges, green and brown. Sometimes, we even see an octopus!
Site 2: Small shipwreck
Here, we proceed to dive on a small shipwreck. The wreck has been underwater for a long time, meaning that it has become an artificial reef - lots of small soft coral grow on it, and fish live in and around it. There is also a small kelp forest nearby which we visit.

- We meet at our dive center in Sea Point to complete check-in and paperwork.
- Wetsuit sizes and gear are double-checked, and we pack everything you’ll need for your dive.
- All equipment will be brought to the dive site for you.
- Free transportation is provided between the dive center and the dive site.
- We start the course with a short e-learning session
- Once your instructor is satisfied that you understand the basics, we depart for the dive site
- At the dive site, the instructor does a thorough briefing, after which he/she teaches you how the equipment works in the shallow water
- Once you are comfortable with the equipment and the diving techniques, it is time for the real adventure - we go for a scuba dive! The time you spend under water on this dive is typically between 30 minutes and an hour.
- The experience from start to finish is typically 3 hours to 5 hours - it all depends on your pace.
