COURSE OUTLINE: CAREER DEVELOPMENT COURSE
Course outline (abbreviated)
In the Career Development Program, the below course outline is followed:
PADI Open Water Diver Course:
The foundation of diving. This course certifies you to dive down to 18 meters.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course:
Building on the foundations of what you’ve learned, you learn to become a better diver, and to go deeper. This course certifies you to dive down to 30 meters.
PADI Rescue Diver Course:
In this course, you learn to look after the buddies diving with you, and how to prevent problems before they arise. You also learn how to deal with diving emergencies.
Experience Phase 1
Before we can continue with your PADI Divemaster Course, it’s time to gain some experience first. During this phase you continue diving until you have a minimum of 40 logged scuba dives.
PADI Divemaster Course
This is the first PADI Professional Course, and takes a good 4-6 weeks to complete. Upon obtaining your Divemaster Certification, you will be able to act as a dive guide for certified divers. By the time you get certified, you will have at least 60 scuba dives under your belt.
Experience Phase 2
We now start allowing you to lead dives as a Divemaster. Our staff is there as you take your first steps, giving help and advise until you are ready to do it on your own! This is one of the most valuable phases of your program, where you become a confident PADI Pro. By the end of this phase, you will have a minimum of 100 scuba dives logged.
EFR Instructors Course, IDC, IE
It is now time to combine everything you’ve learned so far, to polish it, and to become a Scuba Dive Instructor! This part of the program takes 12 days, during which you do your EFR (1st Aid & CPR) Instructors Course, your IDC (Instructor Development Course), and then finally – do the exam!
Candidates who pass their exams, are certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor!
